Analyze and inspect shoreline properties for compliance with the Shoreline Management Plan (SMP) for the Smith Mountain Pumped Storage Hydro-Electric Project to write an average of 10 Status of Property Reports weekly.

Utilize ArcGIS to develop and maintain spatial databases for the shoreline management division. Use these databases to help write the draft ‘Proposed Changes to Aids to Navigation’ Report, Status of Property Reports, and various shoreline permits. Taught co-workers how to operate the GIS database for their own research for report and permit writing.

Review and process permit applications for shoreline development projects, including docks, vegetation removal, and shoreline stabilization. Issue these permits.

Study management plans and shoreline regulations to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and permitting requirements.

Collaborate with landowners, local communities, and regulatory agencies to address environmental concerns.
